Voice #3
Can we stop and get ice cream?
I’m hungry. Mom, why is that boy looking in the trash?
What is homeless? Does he have a Mommy? Where does he sleep?
When are we going to eat? I’m hungry. Can we stop for ice cream? Why is ice cream not good for me?
Are we driving to see Daddy? Is Daddy at the hospital? I miss Daddy, can we go see him?
Why is Daddy in heaven? When is he coming back? I’m hungry, can we get ice cream?
Are you crying Mommy?
Are you sad?

Yet another unique voice. The short sentences, the barrage of questions and the naïve callousness works marvellously to define a younger character.
Looking forward to more!
You darn near made me cry. This really does remind me of a young child’s pattern of speech, and I love the detail/tie-in of the kid looking through the trash.
The incessant questions, many of them too painful to answer, capture the child’s voice well. And a sharp contrast to voices 1 and 2!
Very unique, direct voice! Excellent!
perfect creation of the innocent child who just wants ice cream dammit! Give the poor fatherless child some ice cream!
aww, the innocence and repetition of a child. Great job capturing the voice, and a heartbreaker at the end too.
Oh my goodness, I started off with what a cute inquisitive child, then my thoughts went to his(?) mother and I literally thought ‘poor thing, all those questions must be tiring, annoying and upsetting’…another brilliant addition to your voices, I am really enjoying these. 🙂
